Without our artists we would have no exhibition. We appreciate what you do and we would encourage you to exhibit with us.
We are looking for work which is skillfully created, which has something to say about you and your world and which will communicate with a purchaser.
"WHY HAS MY PAINTING BEEN REJECTED"
The answer to this often asked question is rarely is a painting not being selected on the basis of quality.
In practice we make a first selection. Then a second when we may have to decide between two very
similar paintings, but more often we simply do not have the space to hang everything submitted.
Please try not to allow your disappointment to preclude you from submitting works next year.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY - ALL MEDIA
EXHIBITORS A maximum of three works in each of the following categories may be submitted:
1 - Pictures; 2 - Miniatures; 3 - Pottery/Ceramics; and 4 - Sculptures
All of which must be for sale.

Applications must be received by Sunday 14th July 2019
Please ensure that you submit your works exactly as they are described in your application. Let us know by email if you wish to amend your application. Last minute amendments on receiving day cause us considerable difficulty.
RECEIVING DAY Wednesday 17th July 2019 - Between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm
Works for the exhibition should be delivered unpacked to St Thomas’s Church Milnthorpe - The Committee cannot guarantee to accept works arriving after 5.00 PM. All works will be considered by the Selection Committee, who reserve the right to exclude any work which, in their opinion, is for any reason unsuitable.

NO COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGES.
FABRICS.. PAINTED OR DYED FABRICS OR OTHER WORK MAY BE ACCEPTED
NO FURNITURE WILL BE ACCEPTED
- TOTAL OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS OF MINIATURES NOT TO EXCEED 6”x 4.5” (152 x 114 mm). Inc frame.
PRESENTATION OF YOUR WORK the work MUST have TWO labels, one to be stuck on the back and the other to be tied to a 6 inch string connection, so that the label will hang over the front of work. (This will be hidden when hung) both labels should bear the name (Surname first) and address of the artist, the title of the work and the selling price.
All pictures must have screws and cord attached. Don't use picture wire - it hurts our hands!
N.B. PICTURES IN CLIP FRAMES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Unless otherwise instructed, the committee will, if requested, give the artist’s name and address to potential buyers.
SALES A commission of 20% of the selling price will be charged on all works SOLD at the exhibition. It is hoped to pay artists for works sold immediately after the exhibition.
REMOVAL Exhibitors MUST undertake the removal of all unsold works from the Church Centre either on Sunday 4th August 2019 between 5.00 and 7 pm or on Monday 5th August 2019 between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm.
INSURANCE It is not possible to obtain cover for any works left in the charge of the exhibition and exhibitors are accordingly advised to insure their own works for the period of the exhibition. While every care will be taken to ensure the safe keeping of works of art exhibited or submitted for exhibition, the Committee shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage, however caused.
