NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 2020 Milnthorpe Art Exhibition AGM will be held by zoom at 7pm on Thursday 26th November. If you would like to attend please email Lesley, our Secretary at LesleyGill591@gmail.com to receive entry details.
Unfortunately due to the current Coronavirus situation this year's Art Exhibition has been cancelled. We apologise for any disappointment this causes to both our exhibitors and visitors. Please be assured that we will work hard to make our 2021 Exhibition bigger and better than ever before.
Until then please check out examples of work that Martin Greenland, our new Honorary President has done. Additionally we have uploaded work from Jackie Hadwin and Graham Twyford, who were due to be this year's featured artists. We look forward to seeing exhibits from all three next year instead.
ABOUT MILNTHORPE ART EXHIBITION
The Milnthorpe Annual Art Exhibition runs for 3½ days during August at St Thomas' Church on the edge of Milnthorpe’s Market Square.
Approximately 200 artists submit work with about 500 original exhibits being displayed each year. Members of the public are invited to visit to browse. The artwork is also available to purchase.
Entry is free but we do sell a catalogue (£3) that lists and prices the exhibits. They typically range from £30 to £1,000. Approximately one third of the work is sold each year and we’re delighted that we’ve helped many of the artists to become recognised and valued.
Refreshments are also on sale and include delicious sandwiches and cakes.
All the money raised goes to local charities and since our first display 31 years ago we are proud to have raised over £180,000.
